Dina Castrillo, LMFT

Having trouble with your teenager? Does your adolescent feel unmotivated, depressed, hopeless, anxious, or in need of greater self-confidence? Is your family experiencing a transition, loss, or other forms of trauma or uncertainty? Psychotherapy can help develop understanding, insight, and gain skills.  As a licensed psychotherapist, I will support you and your child toward your goal of improving your well-being.

Teens' needs are different from those of adults; they are still developing, and coping with the internal and external changes. I have nearly a decade of experience working with teens with severe emotional disturbance and their families.

I specialize in creative and unique therapy for adolescents and their families, tailoring my approach to each individual and the community in which they are struggling (home, school, peer group, etc.). I have a collaborative style; my work is focused on strength-based, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, narrative work, family structural therapy, anger and stress reduction, adoption and identity issues and other treatment modalities when appropriate.  I have developed and teach a strength-based parenting program focused on supporting parents to learn new skills helping you navigate the terrain of raising successful confident young adults.

A start to any good relationship is a good fit.  Please email or call for a free consultation.  Together we can work toward your goals in therapy.  I provide a sliding scale and will do out of network reimbursements.  I look forward to speaking with you.
