Welcome to my webpage! Iím glad that youíve found this site and hope that the information here will be helpful to you.

My approach to psychotherapy is grounded in a deep respect for the strength and resilience of the human spirit. I also believe that healing is a collaborative effort between client and therapist. I greet every client with compassion, empathic understanding, and an open mind.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist (CA License # PSY 17872) and have been practicing in the field of psychology since 1994, and have been in private practice since 2003. I received my doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 1999 and have been licensed to practice in California since early 2002. Iím also a certified Domestic Violence Counselor and certified in the use of Mindfulness & Compassion in Psychotherapy.

Since every person is a unique individual, I tailor each therapy to meet the personís special

needs. Using an integrated approach that includes both psychodynamic theories, as well as

more concrete cognitive-behavioral techniques to address immediate symptoms, we can

work together to create the most effective treatment plan for you. I also use play therapy

techniques and sandtray therapy to enhance my work with children. I have extensive

experience in working with children, adolescents, and families on a wide variety of issues,

from communication difficulties to OCD and mood disorders. I provide individual therapy

for adults, children as young as three-years-old, teenagers, and families. I do not provide

marital/couples therapy.

Please feel free to call me at 925-685-9463, ext. 10 if you have any questions, would like

to set up an initial intake session or would like to make a referral to me.
